- If the presentation will be in a cafeteria or a gymnasium, Pam will need a microphone with a stand that is detachable. It would be nice if the microphone were cordless. Or better yet, a hands free microphone would be extremely helpful! Please check the sound system before she arrives so feedback doesn’t pierce the students’ ears. :-)
- For assemblies, Pam needs one table to place science experiment items and props. Another small table is preferred for a laptop with projector or overhead projector. A volunteer to turn off the lights for the older grade presentations is required (for 3rd through 6th grade groups.)
- Pam will need a projector for a Power Point presentation. If this is not available, Pam may use an overhead projector instead.
- Pam would like to be provided a printed schedule so she can easily keep within the time allotted for each presentation.
- Please remember that each session lasts 45 minutes. If your students aren't ready for Pam's presentation on time, it will force her to shorten the program, and they will miss out. Make sure to allow adequate time for students filing into their seating situations.
- Pam welcomes an escort to guide her within your school.
- If Pam is staying all day at your school, lunch in the staffroom is appreciated.
- For book sales--Please contact Pam at least two months ahead so arrangements can be made. Pam's publishers offer a 40% discount to schools she visits. Pam may also sell books directly. Inquire about arrangements for selling books at your school and pre-order specials.
- A packet is sent prior to the visit to prepare your students for Pam's visit. It includes one paperback book of Multiplying Menace and one hardcover book of Princess Peepers to share with your students, visit guidelines, helpful hints, and an invoice.
